Investors in People (IiP) Concourse on “International Good Practices in People Management”

Held in Henry Sy, Sr. Auditorium, 5th Floor St. Luke’s Medical Center, Global City, Taguig last April 28, 2014 (Monday). Was one of the enlightening afternoons that I had. Learning something new on something that is called IiP(Investors in People). One of the must have standards that a company should have.

We've learned the Philippines and UK Trade Partnerships which was discussed by Mr. Trevor Lewis Deputy Head of Mission, British Embassy. Creating an Empowering Culture in alignment with the  IiP Standard which was shared by Dr. Edgardo R. Cortez, MD, President & CEO, St. Luke’s Medical Center (SLMC)

"Everybody is equal in the Organization and Believes in the Deeper Purpose of their Task" -Ms Patricia Whyte

If you're going to ask me, this will be my favorite inspiring part of the where Ms Patricia Whyte, President, Q2 HR Solutions Inc shared the story of Q2, its humble beginnings, achievements and best practices that they have being the first IiP Gold Company and becoming Employer of the Year. After which it was followed by “International Good Practices in People Management” by Mr. Paul Devoy, Head, IiP United Kingdom Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES)

Awarding Ceremonies: Investors in People Standard, Bronze, and Silver Accreditations
IiP Plaques to be presented by: IiP officials Ms Janet Webster, Mr. Gerry Plana, Ms Tess Villanueva; PMAP President Atty. Josephus Jimenez (invited); British Embassy’s Mr. Trevor Lewis; and IiP UK’s Mr. Paul Devoy

“Coaching and Mentoring as the Key to Rapid Quality Improvement”
Mr. David W. Burgess, GEC and Shared Services Director, Hyder Consulting Middle East Ltd. – IiP Standard and “Continuous Improvement in Managing and Leading People” by
Mr. Nicholas Thomas, Country Director, The British Council Manila – IiP Bronze

Q & A Portion of the Program

Integration and Closing
Mr. Gerardo A. Plana, CEO, IiP Philippines

Truly at the end of the Program I withheld a new perspective on people management and how it should be, what big and success companies do and what needs to be done and improved in an organization. I completely agree that IiP should be a standard that one company should strive to achieve and to progress with, as we all know. Every company's most important asset is their employee, and happy employees are productive employees.
