From a humble vendor he started to train and did it everyday. At the end of the day...He love running! And it is enough that made him a champion.

Why Do I Run? - Ben Alves

This is probably the main question that you have in mind that you've been wanting to ask to runners. I just happen to stumble upon a video of a local celebrity named Ben Alves that happens to have an answer to that. His answer of course may not be the same as other runners but somehow may have some similarities to some.

After seeing this, I can probably answer the question with... Why Not Run?
Aside from the health benefits that you're going to get from it, you can also feel good that you're doing something to burn those unwanted fats, but that is just me. May not be the case for others but I hope I make some point.

Nutrilite Health Run 'Fun Run' Success

The kickoff leg of this year’s Nutrilite Health Run held last February 22 at the Blue Bay Walk in Pasay City was a pleasant surprise even for return participants of this yearly fun running event.  With the aim of staging a bigger and better event this year than in previous years, exclusive Nutrilite distributor Amway Philippines organized a post run mini-concert for finishers at the Blue Bay Walk.  All these are in line with Nutrilite’s aim of promoting optimal health through proper diet, exercise and supplementation.

The Nutrilite Health Run is about encouraging as many people as possible to take up running as a regular exercise regimen, or a part of one at least.  For most, running is the easiest and most convenient way to keep fit as it requires no special equipment or training to do.  That is why the Nutrilite Health Run features a short distance category of 3k that appeals to neophyte runners, plus of course the 5k and the 8k categories. Because fun is a vital element of any fitness regimen, the mini-concert after the first leg featured the music of Sponge Cola.

Nutrilite's Health Run in Manila, CDO and Davao to Cap their 80th Anniversary

To cap of its 80th anniversary celebration, the world's No.1 selling vitamins and dietary supplements brand, Nutrilite will be staging the Philippine leg of the Nutrilite Health Run, a regional initiative that advocates wellness and healthy living. The run, which will be held in three key cities in the Philippines, already covered Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Australia and Singapore.

"Wellness has always been the Nutrilite advocacy since it was first introduced 80 years ago. Through this series of runs, we want to encourage more people to put a premium on their personal wellness. The Nutrilite Health Run will kick off in manila of February 22, 2015 at the Blue Bay Walk in Pasay City. The second leg will be on March 1 at the Amway Distribution Center(ADC) in Davao. The final leg will be at the Amway Distribution Center in Cagayan de Oro City.

Interested participants can register at all Amway Distribution Centers and via the Colorurlife Facebook fan page from January 5, 2015 onward  The registration fee is P300 for all categories. Assembly time will be 5:00AM for the 3K and 5K categories, and 4:30AM for 8K. Gun time is 5:00AM for 8K, 5:20AM for 5K and 5:30AM for 3K. Nutrilite is exclusively distributed in the Philippines by Amway.

AffiniTea Presents Brown Race: A Benefit Run for Grace to Be Born Foundation

Seasoned fun run participants know all too well that it takes focus, commitment, and preparation to get past the finish line.
